ABOUT.

Producer Arthur Cohen launched Elementary in 2021, through a partnership with international sales group Playtime.

The company brings to the big screen bold and singular stories working from original concepts and existing IP. From development through to release, we apply a hands-on and curated approach to each project, establishing alternative financing models focused on strong collaborations while fostering long-term relationships with filmmakers. To us, producing means teamwork, transparency, and the utmost respect for the creative process.

Elementary’s first feature, the abortion dramedy CHERRY, won the Audience Award at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival and was acquired by Starz in the US and Filmo in France. Our second feature, MOM’S PALE FLOWERS, an environmental drama directed by Ali Cabbar is currently in post-production. It will be released in Turkey by Baska Sinema.

Currently in development are Jean Sébastien Chauvin’s debut feature ETERNAL LOVER, Sophie Galibert’s follow-up feature, GRIZZLY, and MA REVANCHE, a rom-com written by Clayd Genestet.

Prior to launching Elementary, Arthur lived in Los Angeles, where he spent several years at 20th Century Fox and started his career at CAA. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvaniathe ACE Mentoring Program and EAVE producer’s workshop. He is also a member of the CNC commission for the Avance Sur Recettes, which awards 500K EUR grants to first-time filmmakers.
